Wood Samples for Maple Furniture

Our maple furniture is created from solid wood, joined together with strong Amish wood joints and high quality hardware.

What is maple?: Maple has an indistinct grain pattern. It is offwhite in color; its other common names are 'brown maple' and 'maple'. Maple is a variegated, beautiful wood that looks particularly stunning in darker stains. Stain applied to maple is not uniform due to variations in grain and density -- this is part of its appeal. Its species name is Acer Rubrum. Its Janka rating (hardness and resistance to scrapes, gouges and cuts) is 950.

Our samples are hand-made, just like our furniture!: We encourage you to order samples to help select the perfect color for your new furniture, but we do ask you to limit quantities to less than 8 wood samples.

Each wood sample is created from the same genuine hardwood as our furniture. They are hand-sanded and hand-stained, and measure around 3" x 3".
