American Made
Our platform beds are 100% American-made, created from American-made hardware and American-grown hardwoods. Your purchase of an Erik Organic furniture piece directly supports the rural Midwestern economy.
Bed Sizes
Platform beds are designed to hold a standard-sized mattress, without the need for a box spring.
The headboard is 45" high.
The height to the top of the slats is 13". The side rails are 6" wide. The height to the bottom of the rail is 6-7" and the height to the top of the rail is 12-13" (this varies slightly depending on bed style and size).
The platform bed comes standard with 13 slats, if you would like additional slats you can upgrade to 18 by selecting the option below.
Please note that platform beds do not include matresses.
Hardwood
We offer eight standard hardwood choices on our platform beds. You can learn more about the qualities of these hardwoods on our hardwood sample pages.
Size: We offer several standard sizes of platform bed, we can also create a bed in nonstandard sizes such as California King.
Platform bed headboard measurements are from floor to the top of the headboard.
A 40" headboard is 40" off of the ground, and the slats are approximately 13.5" off the ground -- meaning that 26.5" of the headboard extends past the slats.
With an 8" high mattress, and the slats 13.5" off the ground, approximately 18.5" of the headboard would extend past the top of the mattress.

Shipping Method
Standard shipping is via curbside delivery, in which the furniture is delivered to the curb of your home. The package is not unpacked, brought inside your home, or setup in any way.
Inside the home delivery and setup means that the furniture pieces are brought inside the home, unpacked, and setup in a room of your choice.
When purchasing multiple pieces of bedroom furniture at once, you only need to choose this add-on once. All of the pieces will be hand-delivered inside your home along with your table.
